Cute, But Strange Fit

I ordered this dress in a size medium as that’s what I tend to wear and it seemed to match the size chart. For some positives, the color is a beautiful spring green and looked like the photo. The dress itself felt like a good quality fabric, and the lining made it opaque, which was great. The fabric covered buttons were absolutely darling, and the length hit right around the knee (I’m 5’4.5”).

Unfortunately, the fit was strange. I don’t consider myself to have a large bust, but the bodice of the dress was too tight and caused a gap that I could only hide if I hunched my shoulders. The elastic of the sleeve was also tight on my arm, which is more of a personal dislike than anything. The waist was a bit large on me despite the tightness of the top. Perhaps this style is better suited for someone whose measurements are closer between their chest and waist. Ultimately, I had to return it rather than exchange as sizing up wouldn’t have solved the issues.

Pros: cute, great quality, nice details.
Cons: tight in the arms and chest while being too big at the waist.
