RETURNS/EXCHANGES

For customers within the United States, start your return/exchange here.

We know not everything works out and we want you to feel confident in everything you purchase from us! We will gladly accept select unwashed, unworn, and unused merchandise within 30 days of purchase if you are not completely satisfied.

  • Shipping charges will not be refunded.
  • Item(s) will not be eligible for a refund if it has any of the following. 
  • Make-up marks or stains of any kind
  • Deodorant marks
  • Strong smells of perfume, smoke, or body odor
  • Hair / pet hair 
  • Rips / holes

These items will be donated, and you will not be refunded for the return.

  • FINAL SALE ITEMS: While we want to ensure you get exactly what you are looking for and love your purchase, there are certain items that are not eligible for return or exchange. These items will all be clearly marked ‘FINAL SALE’ in the listing.

Free Returns 

To unlock a FREE RETURN, you have the option to choose a $3 non-refundable fee at checkout, so you don't need to pay for return shipping. If you're unsure about sizing or fit, this feature is a great way to plan for a return if needed, without any added cost later.

Here's how it works:

  • At checkout, select the $3 free-return option to cover any potential return shipping.
  • If you choose to keep your order, this $3 fee in non-refundable but ensures peace of mind as you shop.

Instant Exchanges 

Want your exchange faster? Choose an instant exchange on the summary page before submitting your return, and we'll place your exchange order as soon as your return is submitted.

If you select an instant exchange, we'll place a temporary hold on your card for the full value of your return for authentication purposes. This hold will fall off your account on its own in seven days. You'll have 14 days to ship your return to us. If the return has been shipped within that time frame, you're good to go! If you haven't shipped your return by then or have chosen to keep the return, we'll charge your card the full return amount.

Key things to know:

  • No actual charge occurs during authorization.

  • If you opt for an instant exchange, your new item ships immediately.

DOMESTIC RETURNS

To initiate a return/exchange within the United States:

  • Click here: Return/Exchange Portal
  • All domestic returns/exchanges must be completed using our online return/exchange portal.

You will be given 3 options to choose from for your return:

  1. Exchange for a different size or length.
  2. Store credit in the form of an e-gift card. If you choose this return option, you will receive an email containing a gift card code equal to the amount of the returned item(s) after your return has been processed. This gift card can be used for future purchases.
  3. Refund to the original form of payment. 

Please Note: Processing an exchange request is not a guarantee that the exchanged item will be in stock by the time we receive and process your exchange. If you want to guarantee / secure inventory, it is recommended that you place a new order and ask for a refund or store credit instead. 

In-Store Purchase Return - These instructions are applicable if you made a purchase at our brick-and-mortar location and prefer to return by mail. 

To return an item purchased in store, simply mail the item back to us at:

You are responsible to pay return shipping. You will not use our online return portal since that is designed for orders placed online only.

Make sure to include your receipt (or a copy of your receipt) for our reference. The item must be unworn, unwashed, and have the original tag. Please include your full name, email address, and phone number in case we need to reach out.

We can offer a refund or store credit. Please specify which you prefer by making a note on your receipt. Exchanges are not available when using this option. If you paid using cash, you will be issued store credit

Please allow 5-7 days for processing once we receive your return.

    INTERNATIONAL RETURNS

    Please note: We cannot offer exchanges for international orders.
    For all customers outside the United States, please follow the steps below to receive your refund.

    • Package your items with the original packing slip from your order.
    • Write your order number on the outside of the package or note it on the inside and seal it for shipping.
    • Ship your package using your preferred shipping method to the following address:

    You will receive an email notification when your refund has been issued. Return shipping costs for international returns are the responsibility of the customer. Please reach out to us at returns@mseapparel.com with any questions!

     

    FINAL SALE ITEMS

    We do not accept returns or exchanges on Final Sale items. If you are looking to return an item that was labeled as Final Sale, we recommend an alternative option of selling the item through our MSE Re-Loved Program.

    The MSE Re-Loved Program is a wonderful option if you're looking to recycle the clothes that you bought at our store that are exclusively designed by us. The item must be branded with The Main Street Exchange tag in order to sell through our MSE Re-Loved Program. If you choose to sell through MSE Re-Loved either online or in-store, you can earn money via store credit or cash.

    TIPS & REMINDERS FOR ALL RETURNS/EXCHANGES

    RETURNS
    • PLEASE INCLUDE THE PACKING SLIP WITH ALL RETURNS/EXCHANGES
    • If you are local, returns may be returned to our Gordonville, PA location.
    • Please allow up to 5-7 business days for your refund or exchange to be processed once we receive your items.
    • Any items that are refused at time of delivery forfeit their shipping charges and will only be refunded the price of items refused.
    • Shoes must be returned in the original shoebox. Shoebox may not be used as shipping box. An additional protective shipper must be used, or return will be voided and returned to sender at customer’s expense.
    • Shoes must be unworn and free of any scuffs or marks. We know you need to try shoes on, so we ask you to do so on indoor carpet as to not scuff the soles.  Shoes that show signs of wear may be ineligible for a refund.

     

    EXCHANGES
    • You can exchange an item for a different size or length only.
    • We only allow one exchange. 
    • Exchanges are processed at receipt of return. If the item becomes sold out in the meantime, we will process as store credit.
